Justin Herbert

Card Identification

PSA identifies the exact card as 2020 Panini Prizm #325 Justin Herbert, Silver Prizm. Its rookie-card profile includes Prizm #325 among Herbert’s rookies, while Panini’s product appendix lists Silver in the rookie parallel lineup.^{6, 5, 1}

Why This Card Matters

Silver lets a Herbert collector keep the Prizm rookie design while choosing a specific parallel treatment. It fits a player rookie collection and a Prizm parallel project for different reasons: one follows the beginning of his NFL career, the other follows the product’s design family. Neither requires inventing a production total.^{5, 1}

Recent Player Performance

Evidence freshness window expired. This is dated player context; current facts require rechecking.

Through five 2026 games, ending October 11, Herbert’s official Chargers record shows 937 passing yards, five touchdowns and seven interceptions, with a 70.2 passer rating. That is a difficult opening stretch alongside his 2025 full-season line of 26 touchdowns and 13 interceptions; the samples cover different lengths.^{4, 3}

What Has Changed Recently

The Chargers’ October 11 recap records a 23–17 loss to Denver that moved the team to 0–5. Herbert lost a fumble and then threw an interception in the fourth quarter. Those are specific recent setbacks behind the season line, rather than an assumed change in his long-term role.²

Why Collectors Care

A Herbert rookie collection follows an ongoing quarterback career, including uneven stretches. The current passing line gives that collection context without rewriting what the 2020 card is. For the Silver collector, the enduring card question remains the exact parallel and the quality of the individual copy.^{4, 6, 1}

Card / Set Context

The #325 design shows Herbert in a full-length throwing pose, with branding at the top and his name and team at the bottom. Panini lists rookie Silver as unnumbered, alongside separately specified parallels including Orange /249 and Gold /10. Those numbered limits do not belong to Silver.^{5, 1}

Grading & Condition

Use the top branding and lower name panel as reference points when looking at alignment. Tilt a raw copy under the light to inspect the chrome surface, then check corners, edges and the reverse separately. These are practical inspection priorities, not a claim that every Silver shares a particular defect.^{5, 6}

What Collectors Are Watching

The team’s October 11 recap identifies a Week 6 trip to Kansas City as the next matchup. Watch the official game record for passing efficiency and turnovers, and keep the result separate from any conclusion about this Silver rookie’s market.²

What to Verify

Match 2020, Panini Prizm, Herbert, #325 and Silver Prizm before comparing raw cards or slabs. An absent serial stamp agrees with Panini’s Silver specification, but does not prove the parallel by itself. Use the full identity and photographs together; do not borrow another color’s denominator.^{6, 1}
