Josh Allen2018 Panini Select #24 · Silver Prizm
Concourse is the Select tier, #24 is the number and Silver Prizm is the finish. Each part of the name does different work.
Allen’s Select rookie is a good example of why collectors record the complete product name. A search for an Allen Silver can turn up Select and Panini Prizm cards from the same year. The right first question is which checklist the card belongs to.
Read Select one layer at a time
The 2018 Select checklist divides its cards into Concourse, Premier Level and Field Level. Josh Allen appears at #24 in Concourse. The collector target here is that card with the Silver Prizm finish. PSA also catalogs a separate 2018 Panini Prizm Allen at #205. In a Bills collection you can pursue both, but a sale for #205 belongs in a different comparison set. 1 2 3
The player behind the card
Allen’s 2018 line needs both halves of the quarterback job: he threw ten touchdown passes and ran for eight more. The Select Silver marks a Buffalo season that passing yards alone would undersell. 5

Build the collection around one variable
If you want to study finishes, stay with Concourse #24 and compare the base and Silver. If you want to study Select’s design tiers, compare cards across Concourse, Premier Level and Field Level, while giving each its own record. Changing one variable at a time makes both the collection and its price history much easier to understand. 1
