Connor McDavid

Identification

Match 2015-16 Upper Deck, Connor McDavid, #201 and the Young Guns - base version together.²

Why This Card Matters

Upper Deck identifies #201 as Connor McDavid's Edmonton Young Guns rookie. That gives a player collection or a team set a defined beginning, with the Young Guns base form kept distinct from other treatments.²

Dated player context — check the evidence deadline when reviewing.

Through October 15, McDavid had 18 points in seven 2026-27 regular-season games, with four goals and 14 assists. This is a seven-game snapshot, not a completed-season benchmark.¹

What Has Changed Recently

The latest listed game, October 15 against Utah, added one assist. It followed a four-point game at Los Angeles on October 13, when he had a goal and three assists.¹

Why Collectors Care

For a collector who began with the Young Guns rookie, those games add another chapter to an Edmonton player run. The early-season production is worth following without treating its rate as a promise or using it to redefine the base card.^{1, 2}

Card and Set Context

The manufacturer calls the subset Base Set – Young Guns. Keep the 2015-16 product year attached to #201: the number by itself is not a permanent player identifier across Upper Deck seasons.²

Grading and Condition

Match the original year, player and #201 before looking at grades or asking prices. For a raw copy, clear front and back images plus angled surface photographs provide a more useful condition record than a confident seller adjective.²

What Collectors Are Watching

Watch how the points and workload develop over later games, retaining the date and game count with each comparison. A growing sample can tell a different story from its opening seven games.¹
